Pre-week Plan

My Goals and Tasks For The Week:

This week I’m focusing on documenting the process I will go through while creating a fully visual social media marketing campaign. The primary purpose is for me to learn out loud.

The first step is to create a spreadsheet on how I plan to lay out the Instagram feed for Zoi Essential Oils.

The main issue with the original layout of the feed was the lack of structure and theme. In our current social media-driven world, the average attention span in 2020 is 8 seconds.

With that being said, this Instagram feed won’t catch anyone’s attention because it doesn’t have a theme. From a potential customer’s standpoint, I wouldn’t be drawn to explore this version of the feed.

To increase brand-appeal, a more modern and cohesive feed will provide a much-desired outcome.

I created and edited the layout below using Photoshop.

I wanted to emphasize the importance of a clean and aesthetic Instagram

Feed. The original one (as seen above) lacked structure and posts, so I decided to revamp it.

I was able to create this layout using a Photoshop template I downloaded from freepik.com.

The layout initially looked like this but I was able to download new images off of google to create the desired feed.

Since the layout came in an editable format, I could upload my images and manually customize the interface.

I used Photoshop’s many features to make sure the images fit in perfectly with each other.

Prospecting:

Now that I have figured out the direction of the Instagram aspect of things, now I can focus on opportunity generation. For this, I will be using Hunter.io, which is my favorite tool to find potential leads for any purpose.

If I could describe this tool with one word, it would be “simplicity.” All you need to do is type in the URL of your favorite companies into the search box, and you will instantly receive results showing email addresses.

As you can see here, I typed in “Walmart” and now have a way to contact its team members about a possible partnership.

I couldn’t recommend a more powerful tool than Hunter.io.

I then copied all of the information I needed and entered it into a table I created in Notion.so. This process was very straight forward. I categorized the credentials into columns based on their individual purposes.

The purpose of this chart is to store information from members of the team I will be reaching out to in the hopes of possibly selling Zoi Essential Oils products in-store at Walmart.

The next step in this process is to reach out to leads using G-Mail. My end goal for this step is to generate an opportunity.

I’ve learned from experience that short and clear emails will always receive a response because they are more digestible than unstructured, cluttered emails. That is exactly what I did here to get better results.

Conclusion:

This week was a very enlightening one because it allowed me to put my plan into practice and begin the process of building a complete marketing campaign. Operating the visual and logistic side of a business’ operation is something I strive to get better at every day.

This coming week, I will be focusing on fine-tuning my process and email marketing. I am definitely looking forward to beginning these next steps.
